Since we have a recirculating fuel system vapor locking really won't be an issue.
It sucks you're having hard starting, but I've never seen the deleted system cause hard starting, even in socal hot central valley summer days. I have seen either the pressure regulator or fuel pump check valve leak down, requiring a long crank while fuel pressure comes up.
